Photographe australien de renommée internationale né en 1949, professeur à la Edith Cowan University de Perth (Australie), Max Pam réinvente le monde depuis plus de 30 ans avec son appareil. Il commence à voyager en Asie en 1970 et n'aura dès lors de cesse de parcourir le globe. De l'Australie à l'Angleterre, en passant par l'Inde, la Thaïlande, la Chine, le Japon, Bornéo, le Népal, l'Océan Indien, le Kenya, l'Ethiopie et bien d'autres pays encore, Max Pam promène son regard très particulier au gré du vent et des nombreuses publications qui jalonnent son parcours. Au fil des ans, son travail s'oriente tout particulièrement sur la création de carnets de voyages photographiques, sorte de journal de bord mêlant les différents médiums que sont textes, collages, photographies, cartes de géographie, coupures de journaux pour rendre toute la magie et la diversité du voyage.
